5K HD offers you never seen before resolution – enjoy the highest standard available with subtle nuances and more vivid sounds. 5K HD makes you rethink what you thought of the importance of a good band name. 5K HD – apart from being a technical standard for TVs – is actually the new moniker of Austrian band Kompost 3 and singer Mira Lu Kovacs.

Kompost 3 started out as a band of students living together in an apartment. They play contemporary jazz, with electronics, tingling noises, and know how to please high and low brow audiences. Mira Lu Kovacs, on the other hand, is the singer of the critically acclaimed Schmieds Puls, with a uniquely intimate and touching voice. Both of them already worked together a couple of times, resulting in a visceral dynamic, becoming much more than its parts. 5K HD is emotional avant-garde pop. It is a songwriter’s vision of noise music. It is jazz and pop and electronica at the same time.

The first album of 5K HD will come out this summer. Live, you should be prepared for a quintet which knows how to improvise and always show different facets of their own songs. Combine that with strong yet vulnerable voice and you have an immediately captivating concert experience.
