Osunlade has been a key figure in the house scene for decades and what makes him stand out is that through his creativity he has decisively forged his own sound of deeply soulful house music.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, Osunlade’s career is nothing if not colorful. Musician, producer, label boss, artist… the list doesn’t seem to end. He has composed music for the children’s TV series Sesame Street, while in the early part of his life he produced the work of artists like Patti Labelle and Freddie Jackson for major labels before branched out on his own. In 1999, Osunlade made his dream come true by founding his own label, Yoruba Records.

Always open to new challenges, he made the decision to live on the Greek island of Santorini, where he finds home, peace and inspiration.

Osunlade’s music is pretty much all you want from house music: his masterful production melds together percussion patterns and melodic building blocks to create works of beauty. The pacing of the sound is seductive: nocturnal ambient deepens the mystery across a long run of dynamic-yet-meditative tunes (you can understand how he conveys Ifa spiritualism in his music) and goes out in a blaze of deep house. Now, already known for his epic DJ sets, remixes and albums, Osunlade maintains his reputation as a house music legend.
