The scenes and sounds of Europavox Festival in one video

Europavox Festival welcomed thousands of people onto the grounds of La Cooperative de Mai in Clermont-Ferrand at the end of June and early July. The festival celebrated its eleventh year with a bonus concert too, as Manu Chao performed for nearly three hours in front of a sell-out crowd at the home of the French Top 14 Champions.

A Weekend contained sets in venues of all shapes and sizes as Teme Tan gave an impassioned performance at the Polydome Forum, Shame rallied around the intimate surroundings of La Coope’s Club, or Moonlight Breakfast (who soundtrack the after movie) did double sets in the city’s local FNAC store before rousing the crowd outdoors on the Factory Stage.

There was the sublime and wonderful tones of Agnes Obel, the wicked ways of J.Bernard, and the raving efforts of Boys Noize to cater for all tastes. Not everyone you met was French or local, with many travelling to the Auvergne region to mix with the nationalities and musical diversity that the festival provides.

In truth, the moments captured by Riot House Productions may only offer a glimpse of what happened from Thursday to Sunday, but it is likely to be etched in the minds of Auvergnese or Europeans for some time.

You can read our journalists’ review of the festival too.
