Aloïse Sauvage doesn’t fit into one single category. She is a singer, a circus acrobat, a songwriter, a dancer, a poet, a musician, an actress… In fact, she seems to be exceptionally gifted in any art form she tries, as evidenced by her second album, ‘Sauvage’, which was released in October 2022. It’s a hybrid of hip-hop and pop, fuelled by a desire for empowerment in the lyrics, and developed through special effects in its sonic textures and vocals. This young woman, who has just celebrated her 30^th birthday, is not a newcomer anymore for the French audience. Let’s introduce her to the rest of the world.

Aloïse Sauvage cultivated her passion for sounds at the music academy of Le-Mée-sur-Seine, her hometown near Paris, learning how to play drums, the flute and the saxophone. After her studies, she switched to contemporary circus and joined the Fratellini Academy, specializing in acro dance (a fusion of acrobatics and dance). She started performing at shows and, at the same time, she had her first experiences as an actress both in cinema (nine films so far, including the award-winning film ‘120 BPM – Beats per Minute’), and television (in the series ‘Call My Agent!’, among others).

For many artists, these two careers would be more than enough, but Aloïse Sauvage has also become a singer-songwriter. Mixing hip-hop with the traditional ‘chanson française’ style, which Stromae or Angèle excel at. Her albums and EPs have opened an interesting path in the French scene, complemented by her spectacular live shows where her acting and circus skills come in handy.
