There are few characters on the Polish hip-hop scene who have gained the sympathy of both old-school rap fans and a much younger audience. Żabson is just such an example,a role model of a contemporary rapper who in his activity combines an artistic message with representing his generation and the values ​​that are important to them.

28-years old Mateusz Zawistowski instantly gained popularity. The phenomenon of Żabson is based on the ability to find himself in many areas of life, in which he follows examples from the United States, such as Tyler, The Creator. Zawistowski is active not only in the field of music – he is also a fashion icon and influencer, as well as an important voice in the discussion on the social and moral situation in contemporary Poland, torn by generational conflicts.

His early works were already characterized by his very own style, and they were a big novelty in Poland at that time. Bold but skillful use of auto-tune, modern beats and fancy clothes and hairstyles all feature, and so at first Żabson shocked with his image, which for many Polish hip-hop fans was a little too over the top.
