Ukrainian MusicLab
In association with the French Institute of Bucharest, in partnership with Control Club and Music Export Ukraine, Europavox launched the first edition of this training program for Ukrainian artists based in Ukraine or in another European country. The program included online workshops and in-person training sessions in Bucharest, providing a hybrid training framework over three weeks in October 2024.
Program Objectives
- Facilitate access to the European music market for Ukrainian artists,
- Create connections with European music industry professionals, thus fostering collaboration and career opportunities,
- Provide Ukrainian artists with tools for presenting and promoting their music.
Training Content
Four online sessions covering crucial career development topics, such as an introduction to European music markets, diversification of revenue sources, and a media training session. The training was complemented by sessions in Bucharest, including content production sessions and showcases, from October 29th to 31st at Control Club, to meet and exchange with media and music professionals.

Meetings & Showcases in Bucharest
The program’s climax came with a three-day event in Bucharest (October 29–31). Four of the participating artists — TANKATAKA, Farba Kingdom, NFNR, and Postman — were able to travel to Bucharest and engage in networking sessions with Romanian artists, media representatives, and industry professionals, including managers and promoters.
The highlight was the showcase evening on October 30 at Control Club, where the artists performed live for a diverse audience of industry professionals and general public.
“I think Bucharest is a great city for music. There are many opportunities and great professionals. It’s an excellent place to implement projects—a true cultural hub for music” remarks Loïc Meuley, attaché culturel at the French Institute of Bucharest.
Beyond performances, the program offered artists access to professional tools and technical resources to create promotional content. This hands-on approach enabled participants to refine their strategies, develop new ideas, and bring them to life with high-quality audio-visual content.
