Congratulations to both Verde Prato and Postman, who have been selected as our Bands of the Month for April on Europavox!
This month does not crown one, but two Bands of the Month! April’s selection is folk-themed, with Basque singer Verde Prato and Ukrainian singer-guitarist Postman receiving the accolade.
While folk is the artists’ main inspiration, their music shifts thanks to the use of electronic sounds, both in the studio and on stage.
Postman won’t be seen without his guitar, through which he conveys nostalgic, light and dreamy music living in a moment. Inspired by the music of the 60s and frequently experimenting with synthesizers and electronic sounds, Kostiantyn Pochtar calls his genre “urban folk”.
Verde Prato, on the other hand, blends Basque culture with modern sounds, like in ‘Neskaren Kanta’ an impossible fusion of a traditional song and reggaeton that has become her biggest hit.
Both artists have hot releases : Verde Prato’s latest album is a collaboration with producer Bronquio named ‘Erromantizismoa‘, while Postman tours across Europe with his band after releasing his latest album ‘Still Life’ in late 2023.
