For its 18th edition, Europavox Clermont-Ferrand is thinking big! You just need to see the 2024 line-up’s first eleven names to be sure of that. An explosive cast, involving French rap rising stars, a cult English rock band and, naturally, a foretaste of what makes the festival so singular: our European musical crushes! This starts with UCHE YARA, a pop, rock and r’n’b fusion Austrian artist who supported the Rolling Stones’ for their German shows, and with Melenas, a Spanish rock band racking up compliments since their very beginnings – between them you’ll find the acts “vintage”, “mesmeric” or “unmissable”. Two awesome European discoveries, who will be joined soon by new gems coming from all corners of the continent.
For now, we have all you need to dream about while you’re waiting: on the French and headliners side, this first announcement is quite mouth-watering, to say the least! A great example, and perhaps the biggest show the festival has ever hosted, is Shaka Ponk. Accustomed to selling out massive venues, the rock band will bring their craziness and free spirit to Clermont-Ferrand. This is a precious and unique moment: ‘The Final Fucked Up Tour’ is the band’s very last tour, a string of farewell shows as they want to focus on ecological projects moving forward.
After these obviously wild goodbyes, they can leave the guitars plugged in and the amps turned up to eleven: Phoenix, The Libertines and Dionysos are eager to make some noise, too! These three bands have had impressive careers endowed with, respectively, ultra class pop, oh-so-British fire and rebellion, and surrealistic, elegant uniqueness.
Speaking of prodigies, we’ll also welcome future stars of French rap Zola and La Fève, who will showcase their lyrical panache on the Place du 1er Mai. As young as they are, they already have nothing to prove: the former has released three albums, one of them being platinum, while the latter is stacking up unreal stream counts.
Another highlight of this 2024 edition will undeniably be Eddy de Pretto’s come-back. Remember: he already blessed us back in 2018, on the Factory stage, with an extraordinary performance. Without hesitation, we’ll drop by again to get our hearts crashed with him, on the Main Stage this time.
This 18th edition will also be Olivia Ruiz’s moment: after eight years of absence, we’re eagerly waiting for her new album and show. Then, later, at sunset, L’Impératrice will take control of a pop, disco, jazz, funk, fun, smart, sensual dancefloor… Our moves will shine until the depths of the night.
At this stage, you probably get the picture: in 2024, Europavox Clermont-Ferrand will have one main motto: party on! Rendez-vous from the 28th to the 30th of June !
