Concerts, dance, exhibition, debates, movie screenings, European cuisine… Let’s all celebrate Europe Day on the 13th of May at the Parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville in Paris!
To celebrate European peace and unity is the ethos of Europe Day, organized each spring as an homage to the « Schuman Declaration » of the 9th of May 1950, considered to be the birth certificate of the European Union; peace and unity, two objectives more important than ever as we just sadly passed the first anniversary of the Ukrainian war.
Open to all, and free, the Parisian Europe Day, organized by the European Commission in France, the European Parliament in France and the city of Paris, will host debates, association stands, movie screenings (of Alcarràs and Triangle Of Sadness), the Faces Of Europe exhibition, and a breakdancing performance. Foodtrucks will also provide a variety of European delicacies.
On the music side, Europavox are continuing our annual involvement in the event, always committed to promoting European cultural diversity. We have invited three European artists for you to discover (or rediscover!) :
Ona Mafalda from Spain, Alina Pash from Ukraine, and Fakear from France.
Concerts start at 7pm
About the line-up:
Fakear (France): A quick ascent, world-wide tours and sold-out venues even before he had released an album… Ten years and four records later, Fakear still builds bridges between pop, world music and electronic beats while creating a hypnotic musical world.
Alina Pash (Ukraine): Alina Pash manages to infuse her music with R’n’B and hip-hop without forgetting her love of Carpathian folklore. She continuously impresses with her eccentric video clips like in ‘Bitanga‘, ‘Oinargori‘, ‘Bosorkanya‘, ‘N.U.M‘, and many others.
Ona Mafalda (Spain): Born in London to a Spanish mother and a Bulgarian father, Ona Mafalda’s life is inherently linked with multiculturalism. Her first album, Ona, will be launched on the 4th of May, and showcases her soul-baring, delicate and sensual pop.
