As the new edition of Europavox Festival Vilnius is starting tonight at Loftas for a two-day events with European acts and local artists, let’s visit the capital of Lithuania with the rock trio Shishi. On the menu : parks, DIY places, pizzas and of course music venues. The perfect list to go through before the festival !

“Nothing beautiful here. But a looooot of really tasty fresh vegetables, random people, trashy surroundings and vivid life on every corner. It’s the market Maria Rosa used to go to every Saturday when she was a teenager.. Well, her mother forced her to do that. Now she does it with pleasure herself. Pst, go there on Saturday or Sunday when it’s the most crowded – you can find a huge flea market just on the Kalvarijų street + hear some live accordion music.”

“These are a few buildings near the boundary of Vilnius old town. One of them is a place for shishi rehearsal studio. Also, various concerts, theater plays and exhibitions happen here quite often. A must see if you’re into Vilnius hip stuff.“

“It used to be a prison but later it became one of the most successful community centers in town. There are a lot of concerts happening, they are showing a lot of films in summer, you can get a drink in a bar or go on a tour. Benadetta also has a studio there and it’s her drums’ home.“
