SPONSORED – The 2018 Edition of Medimex, the International Festival & Music Conference organized by Puglia Sounds, will take place in Taranto, Southern Italy, from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 June. The Festival, which is open to the general audience and to professional music operators, features a program of live shows of international artists (Kraftwerk, Placebo, Roni Size, Daddy G, Metà Metà), and Italian artists (Nitro, Casino Royale, Kiol, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, DJ Gruff, Gianluca Petrella, Mangaboo, E Green, Fido Guido, Zakalicious).
But this year Medimex adds another jewel to its crown: the exhibition “Kurt Cobain and Grunge: history of a revolution” with photos by world-renowned photographers Charles Peterson and Michael Lavine, some of them displayed for the first time for Medimex. Together with the “Meet the Author” events with important artists of the music scene, numerous other events have been scheduled for the professional meetings aimed at operators, artists and musical companies that will be given the opportunity to discuss the perspectives of the international and national market. Medimex 2018 will also be an opportunity to meet festival directors, agencies, record labels, Italian and international stakeholders and participate in specific professional activities aimed at those working in the music sector The program includes panels and workshops, with influential experts, who will address some of the central themes of the music business. Puglia Sounds Musicarium returns, a school of music professions with authoritative teachers who will give lessons aimed at youngsters and this year, in an upgraded version, also to professionals. Medimex Songwriting Camp is also confirmed, in which the young musicians from Puglia will be able to work on the artistic side in close contact with established authors and producers of the Italian scene.
