German-based singer-songwriter and all around creative tour de force Mogli releases her second single ‘The Current’ off her forthcoming cinematic album ‘RAVAGE’. Following her lead single ‘Echo’, ‘The Current’ was released on November 11 and is accompanied by the 2nd episode of her 10 part film, which finds the protagonist (Mogli) living in a dystopian world.
All episodes have been created and scored by Mogli. The new project bookends a difficult time for Mogli as a musician and personally. After her 2019 EP ‘Patience’, she found the strength to break out of a toxic relationship. Soon after, she moved to Berlin, embarking on a journey of hardship and creative re-discovery.
The new album and accompanying visual, document Mogli’s journey through this stage of her life as well as tackling themes of importance in her life. The album and film focus on self-empowerment, vulnerability, feminism, equality and societal problems such as climate change.
