The Psychotic Monks - Crash

It’s hectic, it’s raw, it’s weird, and it makes you a little bit dizzy as well as excited: this new videoclip of The Psychotic Monks suits perfectly their no-concession, boundary-pushing rock music. The strange short film directed by Bart Price, who worked several times with fellow rock band Black Country, New Road, features HD stock videos and VHS-like lo-fi clips, people running backwards, and frantic scenes on Times Square. An explosion of ‘dark late-capitalist fever’ according to the director, and the perfect way to illustrate the song, which talks about the pressure bands face while touring and navigating the music industry, always running from one gig to another without really thinking about their mental health. Note that the noisy and techno-inspired ‘Crash’ will be included in the new band’s album ‘Pink Colour Surgery’, that will be released very soon on Vicious Circle Records / Fat Cat Records. It’s due on the 3rd of February – mark the date!
