When the job is well done, a label is like a family home for an artist: they feel a sense of belonging there, hang out with their cousins, and the entire clan is strengthened. Helping musicians to release their albums and share their art, numerous European independent labels allow us to discover, on a daily basis, some incredible artists. Let’s pay tribute to them each month with a playlist: Starting with a focus on… United We Fly!
Who is better qualified than an artist to understand what his peers are looking for in a label? Created in 2005 by the Greek composer, singer, and producer Theodore, United We Fly gathers creative souls who share the same values, wishing to take care of them from A to Z, as a label, a booking agency and management team. They even own a recording studio in the heart of Athens… All that while being proudly independent. The roster obviously includes Theodore, but also Danai Nielsen, Someone Who Isn’t Me, and a prestigious guest, Jay-Jay Johanson, who appears on a “featuring” with Irene Skylakaki. A good deal of pop, some electronic touches, a bit of rock, neo-classical music, English influences, and Greek lyrics, on songs that are always classy.
