Nothing but « Good Vibrations », or so freekind. say! The European Commission in France, the European Parliament in France, the city of Paris and Europavox are thrilled to invite you, on the 4th of May, to a very special celebration in the heart of Paris: Europe Day! From 10am, Paris’ Parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville (the beautiful square in front of Paris’ City Hall) will welcome free and open-to-all debates, conferences and sports activities (the Olympic Games are coming soon!), while food-trucks will prepare European delicacies. And, at 7pm, three European bands will seize Europe Day’s impressive stage!
This new edition’s line-up is packed with good vibes, from Pépite’s falsely naive French pop to the comforting neo-soul of Austrian-based duo freekind., formed by Nina Korošak-Serčič (drums) from Slovenia and Sara Ester Gredelj (vocals, keyboards) from Croatia. As for the third band, its name speaks for itself: Love ‘n’ Joy’s psychedelic indie-rock is all about bliss and pure energy. But don’t get fooled by their couldn’t-give-a-damn appearance, as they are one of the most successful Ukrainian live bands internationally, playing hundreds of concerts per year all over Europe, while collecting donations for their fundraiser Musicians Defend Ukraine and raising awareness about the war.
To help you prepare for May the 4th, have a listen to this playlist gathering Pépite, freekind. and Love’n’Joy’s best tracks. See you soon in Paris!
