Top10! March 2024

It’s two for one this month: Europavox’s March selection, gathering ten bands and artists hailing from all over Europe, was curated with the help of not one, but two artistic directors! Victor Diawara from Loftas (the most active cultural venue in Vilnius, Lithuania) and Florin Oslobanu from Control Club (hosting awesome parties and shows almost everyday in Bucharest, Romania) joined hands to shine a light on the ten new names you’ll discover throughout the month.

Guitar fans, get ready for noisy, krautrock-influenced and experimental roughness from Musta Huone (Finland), post-punk and cold wave from Nürnberg (Belarus) and blunt rock riffs from PLANT (Romania), all three bands singing in their native languages. For the gentler-hearted, let’s bask in the sunshiny Dutch pop of Elephant, Isaac Delusion’s dream-pop infused style with typical French touches, or Øyunn’s soft jazz from Denmark. That is until Berry Galazka (Poland) takes over with her bangers galvanized by rap, closely followed by Bo Milli (Norway) and her hits strengthened with 2000s pop-punk guitars, and by Might Delete Later (Latvia), building pop and vocal house songs from voicemails left by strangers on her phone. As for Balaklava Blues, be set to embark on a folk-noir journey, the Ukrainian band blending polyphonic traditions with trip-hop influences.

Ten bands, ten universes, four different languages, an infinite amount of talent: the stage is set for you to find a new gem to listen to over and over again in this oh-so eclectic collection!
