In May, we teamed up with our Lithuanian partners from Loftas and selected, a few weeks before the Vilnius edition of Europavox Festival, 10 amazing artists from all over the continent. Northern Europe is naturally well represented in this May top 10, from Polish pop artist Jann and Estonian folk Duo Ruut, to the crazy Finnish folktronica project Suistamon Sähko and Swedish unclassifiable, hip-hop-ish guys from Deki Alem. As for Lithuania, discover the rock band Aklì, who were a hit at Loftas on the 27th of May !
Let’s not forget the rest of Europe with the latin funk of Rumba de Bodas from Italy, the urban pop of Hungarian rapper Azahriah, Amelie Siba’s electro-rock from the Czech Republic and the Slovenian pop of Astrid-. But it’s Baby Volcano’s Helvetic witch-pop experiments which won the « Artist of the Month » accolade and pocketed Europavox’s Spotlight Prize. Congrats to her and see you next month with a new top !
