Explosive voodoo tribal vocalist
" As a carefully curated artist, Sylvie Kreusch surprises "
The seemingly mysterious Sylvie Kreusch first rose to prominence in the Belgian music scene as female vocalist of Warhaus (where she worked alongside lover, Maarten Devoldere). With that project, Kreusch showcased the smouldering, velvety tonal abilities found in her work as a solo artist. Modeling since the age of 14, Kruesch introduced Warhaus to the world of fashion – jumpstarting her industry straddling career. After receiving praise in American Vogue and The New York Times for performing with Warhaus throughout Ann Demeuelemeester’s Spring 2018 New York Fashion Week show, Kreusch went on to compose music for luxury brand, Prada.
Kreusch’s international recognition includes Beats One, Dazed Digital, and four editions of Vogue. In Belgium, she was the only artist to perform at the ultra-hyped 2018 Red Bull Elektropedia Awards. During the ceremony, Kreusch debuted her second single, “Please to Devon,” ahead of its 2019 release. Throughout her music, Kreusch’s love of voodoo, tribal percussions, and explosive emotions come through strong. Although Kreusch’s Spotify channel is sparse, it’s clear she has a lot up her sleeve.
While Warhaus did give Kreusch a running start, she’s determined to make it as an independent vocalist. Building upon all past experiences, Kreusch is succeeding on her own. Her hard work and dedication to building a career, not only as a performer, but also a music tastemaker, is paying off. Working within the Belgian music scene, especially alongside artists like Tsar B for 2018 debut single “Seedy Tricks,” provided Kreusch a platform for growth. Whether collaborating or going solo, Kreuch’s distinctive vocals allow her to stand out.
