LiveDMA : Digital Safaris on Sustainability
The next Digital Safari will showcase Ravnedalen festival in Norway, a laboratory for sustainable solutions.
Louise Verguin, the Project Leader from LiveDMA, talks about the Digital Safaris :
“Imagined during COVID as a way to connect isolated live music professionals who wished to find inspirations to shift their working practices in front of the climate crisis, Live DMA and PULSE joined efforts to organise the Digital Safaris on Sustainability.
The Digital Safaris highlight the organisations and people who act for a better (cultural) world, creating a community of live music organisers engaged in sustainability.
In three years, the Digital Safaris were able to showcase 6 organisations committed to ecological transition, reaching hundreds of music professionals who could exchange on the challenges they face when organizing sustainable music events.“
Join the Digital Safaris organized by LiveDMA and Pulse Transitienetwerk.
For this episode, we will dive into Norway’s Ravnedalen Festival‘s actions to become more sustainable, guided by Dirty Old Town, Ravnedalen’s promoter.

Live DMA is a European network supporting live music associations and PULSE is a cultural network for ecological transition in Flanders.
What’s LiveDMA ?
Created in 2012, Live DMA is a European non-governmental network supporting live music associations. Since 2017, LiveDMA has been recognised as a European network by the European Commission and has been allocated funding as part of the Europe Creative programme. Among its many projects, LiveDMA is committed to the ecological sustainability of the music industry.
Through online guided tours of sustainable live music projects, the Digital Safaris give live music professionals from all around Europe the opportunity to learn more about and exchange with live music scenes that work in an ecological way. They are also a place of free expression regarding the challenges linked to the ecological and social transition of the live music sector, with the goal of creating a community of live music organisers.
