Three years after their ‘Mississippi’ video, Serbian band KOIKOI and director Raško Miljković are collaborating again, this time on ‘Putem Mimoza’. This aesthetic short film is inspired by the mimosa legend, which tells the impossible love story of a poor man and a noble woman. In today’s world, having different social backgrounds is – fortunately – less of a problem for people in love. But being queer can be, and it is exactly what this pagan-feeling, stunning video portrays, with actor Strahinja Blažić and Marko Grabež, KOIKOI’s frontman, in the leading roles. ‘Putem Mimoza’ is drawn from a compilation, but good news: KOIKOI are working on a second album, to be released this fall. In the meantime, catch them live at Europavox Clermont-Ferrand on the 28th of June, and at Rodez (Le Club) two days before, as KOIKOI are participating in Europavox’s Massif Central Tour.
