Did you know placing your hand on top of the copier at work could be a form of art? While some saw harmless corporate fun, others developed a technique called scannography, like French artist Christian Staebler. Edin Suljić used this technique for Lelee’s latest video, for ‘Rane’.
The composition follows the development of the song in a way reminiscent of stop motion films, while showing what we hear: which band member is singing, drumsticks, guitars and guitar picks… It’s as if the song unfolds as we listen to it, which makes for a different listening experience, and a beautiful one too!
