" Hungary’s king of Youtube "

There’s been a lot of talk in the music business in recent years about what is seen as the new path to success – the importance of growing your brand as a musician, taking advantage of online channels, building communities, finding viral success and so on and so forth. Older musicians might scoff at such buzzwords, but the younger generations have embraced them wholeheartedly, and with paragons such as Azahriah leading the charge, it’s hard to hold anything against them.

Not having the easiest of childhoods led this Hungarian Zoomer to find companionship and a creative outlet online, growing his following steadily until he became one of the top YouTubers in his country. It was then he began pursuing his dreams in full, taking advantage of the guitar-playing skills he’d been nurturing since childhood to shift into making chart-topping music. He hasn’t forgotten his roots, though – even his Spotify bio states he’s first and foremost a Youtube creator.

All of this might lead sceptics to doubt the quality of Azahriah’s output. They’d be wrong. By the time he stepped in front of a sold-out crowd of 3,000 for his debut live performance, there was no denying it – he emerged a fully-formed pop star, shining brightly with overwhelming talent and potential. His knack for combining various influences, inspirations and genres, from autotuned rap flows to reggaeton beats, into light-hearted yet meaningful songs has rightfully led him to sold-out arenas and tens of millions of views, and even the dourest of naysayers have to admit – when the end product is as good as Azahriah, there’s nothing to complain about with the new ways.
