TOMM¥ €A$H (EE)

Tomas Tammemets, aka Tommy Cash, (also spelled TOMMÂ¥ €A$H), is part of the booming post-Soviet rap scene. Provocative, excessive, and exuberant, the Estonian artist is a real hip-hop superstar in his native country. Visually counter-current to American rap productions, Tommy Cash is closer to the universe of Die Antwoord, and that’s good!

KELVYN COLT (DE)

Kelvyn Colt is a singular talent within the German rap scene. While many of his peers have adopted a very-American approach to their German-language music, Colt remains particular to his brand of heartfelt hip-hop, delivered in perfect English. It’s this approach that allows the multilingual rap and hip-hop talent to exist between different cultural worlds.

DENISE CHAILA (IE)

Born in Chikankata-Mazabuka, a town in the south of Zimbabwe, Denise Chaila moved to Limerick, a town in the south-west of Ireland. These two countries and cultures that touch her heart also influence her music, which is situated somewhere between hip-hop, afro-beat and Nigerian sounds reminiscent of Fela Kuti.

La Rotonde, 7:30 PM to 11:30PM

EMILIE ZOÉ (CH)

Emilie Zoé is a singer-songwriter from Lausanne. Thanks to a fragile yet raw, caressing yet cheeky voice, some compare her to PJ Harvey or Cat Power. Although her mother tongue is French, her songs, written in English, are a way of appropriating the indefinable and seeking emotional answers to the rational questions that occupy her mind.

FUTURE HUSBAND (NL)

Future Husband is the first solo project from Adura, whose sound lies somewhere between intimate reflection and grand cinematic gestures. With ‘Real For You’, Adura shares compelling indie pop music accompanied on her acoustic guitar and with subtle synths. The singer’s tender voice enchants from the very first note, and hints at a fragility that is also her strength.
