“Appaloosa” – Lor‘s new single – does not succumb to clichés. The band – as usual with their music – conjures up their own worlds, which draw the listener in completely.
What the band themselves say about the single: “Appaloosa is a breed of hot-blooded horse – energetic, lively and ambitious. We address Appaloosa to all those adults – parents, grandparents, teachers – who have forgotten what their role is in the lives of people growing up, shaping themselves and their relationship with their lives.”
Their track gallops rhythmically and, with accurate blunt lyrics, hammers home the need for freedom and independence. It is the voice of a young generation that wants to create its own world, to decide for itself on its own terms. It also points out hypocrisy and wants to change the world. It is the band’s manifesto – appealing for the right to freedom, to choose one’s own path.
The single “Appaloosa” is a prelude to Lor’s new Polish-language album, scheduled for release in 2023.
