Who will follow in Martha Da’Ro’s footsteps and be crowned ‘February’s Band of the Month’ by Europavox’s team of artistic directors? It’ll be a tough choice, as it is every month! This new selection of ten bands and solo artists from all over Europe, curated with the precious help of Katia Giampaolo from Estragon Bologna, will have you bouncing with amazing rock performances, courtesy of SPRINTS (Ireland) and The Holy (Finland), and awake your emotions with folk music from Pomme (France) and Louis Jucker (Switzerland). In the meantime, BEX’s hip-hop from Austria will give you a shot of confidence and I Love You Honey Bunny (Czechia) will make you dance with their quirky indie-pop.
And that’s not all, as travel is on the menu: if Fejká is honouring Germany’s rich electronic scene with some delicate deep-techno, Balkan Paradise Orchestra is revisiting Balkan music all the way from Barcelona, while Ão from Belgium sings her pop songs both in English and Portuguese, and Any Other‘s Italian-language electro-pop is inspired by indie-rock American bands from the 90’s.
A tough choice, as we said… But no matter who takes the Spotlight Prize at the end of the month, these ten artists already won our hearts, and a spot on this new monthly top.
